EVENT DESCRIPTION
We believe in the power of prayer and that prayer is foundational to everything God is doing in our church. Jesus set this example for us. With this conviction, we are setting aside one week in January to fast and pray around specific daily prayer focuses, and we will also gather to pray together as a church family.
Starting this Monday, January 26, through Sunday, February 1, we invite you to fast and pray individually as we earnestly seek the Lord, asking Him to deepen our relationship with Christ and prepare our hearts for the year ahead. During this time, we will be praying for God’s provision and breakthrough in personal lives, families, our church, and for national and international needs.
See below for our fasting guidelines & daily prayer focuses beginning
Monday, January 26th.
Then, we invite you to join us for a powerful night of corporate prayer on Friday, January 30 at 7 PM. Together, we will spend about an hour seeking the Lord — beginning with worship, followed by leaders reading scripture and guiding different sections of prayer. There will also be a time for individuals to receive prayer and be anointed with oil.
There is no registration for this event.
Childcare is available for children ages 2-5.
FASTING GUIDELINES
Fasting is a way to intentionally seek the Lord by setting aside normal routines to focus on prayer.
Pray first and ask God how He is leading you to fast.
Choose a fast that fits you (meals, certain foods, media, or activities).
Replace what you give up with prayer and Scripture.
Stay humble and focused — this is about devotion, not discipline.
Listen to your body and use wisdom; adjust if needed.
The goal is not perfection, but a heart that draws near to God.
