N E W T O F A I T H ?

You can build a personal relationship with Jesus, starting today!

“In Christ you are a new creation,
old things have passed away, all things have become new.”

- 2 Corinthians 5:17

How to start a new life with God.

You were created to know God in a personal way and to have a relationship with him through his son, Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us that “…if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” (2 Corinthians 5:17). Here’s how you can shake off the old and embrace a new life with Jesus.

01
Realize that everyone has fallen short of God’s standard.

You’re not alone, the Scripture tells us that all have fallen short; everyone has missed God’s ideal (Romans 3:23). A relationship with God starts with us acknowledging that we need God’s mercy and grace.

02
Recognize that Jesus Christ paid the penalty.

God wants you to see that our penalty for our sin was placed on Jesus Christ so that we might live. But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners (Romans 5:8). The Lord Jesus Christ loves you so much that He died in your place so that you might live.

03
Receive the gift of Christ.

A man asked the Apostle Paul, “What must I do to be saved?” Paul’s answer was simply, “Believe on the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved.” (Acts 16:31). If you would like to have a relationship with your creator, simply pray this prayer:

” Dear Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner. I believe You died for my sins. Right now, I turn from my sins and invite you into my heart and life. I confess You as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank You for saving me. Amen. “

Baptism: Your Next Step.

What We Believe About Baptism

As Jesus was sending his disciples out into the world to share the good news of the Gospel, he said that new believers were to be baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that this was meant as a permanent practice and that believers today should be baptized to publicly declare their relationship with Christ; immersion in the water symbolizes an end to their old way of life, and coming out of the water represents the new life found in Jesus.

If you’ve made the decision to follow Christ and want to be baptized, fill out our baptism form so we can talk with you further and discuss the next steps.

Reading the Bible.

How to read the bible.

“The Word of God is alive and powerful, sharper than any two edged sword.”

Where Should I Start?

We believe that the Bible is the true, inspired, and infallible word of God. Regularly reading and studying the Bible is a crucial part of being a follower of Jesus, but for a new believer it can be difficult to know where to start.

The Gospel of John would be a good place to begin, as it gives an account of the life and ministry of Jesus. After that you may want to move over to the Book of James, which offers lots of practical, actionable advice for living a life as a follower of Christ.

If you would like to take a look at the Old Testament, we would suggest you read through the Book of Proverbs. This book was written by Solomon, the wisest man who ever lived, and it is filled with great truths for living a better life.

Background of the Bible

The Bible is actually a collection of 66 different book and letters written by 40 different authors over a period of about 1,600 years. The Old Testament was written before Jesus Christ while the New Testament was written during and after Jesus Christ walked the earth.
The books are not laid out in chronological order, so you won’t necessarily want to read straight through Genesis to Revelation.
